Notice how you're doing, before it becomes a crisis.
Helpwell offers a simple daily check-in loop to track your trajectory quietly. No $200 therapy sessions, no multi-month waitlists, and zero tracking of your identity.
A 90-second routine, not a homework assignment.
Most mental health tools ask for extensive journaling when you're already exhausted. Helpwell focuses on high-frequency, ultra-low friction check-ins.
Tap Your Baseline
Answer three quick sliders each morning. Add an optional line of context only if you feel like writing.
Spot the Trajectory
Your entries turn into an intuitive trendline. Spot a downturn at day 4 instead of noticing at week 4.
See the Downturn Early
When a low trend persists, Helpwell flags it on your page — while it is still cheap to interrupt.
Six things, all of them built.
Everything on this list works today. Nothing here is a roadmap dressed up as a feature.
A 90-Second Check-In
Three sliders and an optional line of context. No journal, no streak to protect, no homework.
A Trend You Can See
Your entries become a 14-day trendline and monthly cards, so a downturn turns up early enough to interrupt.
Anonymous If You Want It
Check in with no account at all. Your entries are filed under a random code, never your email address.
Your Own Notes
The reason behind a bad week, in your own words. On every tier, including free, and deletable in one click.
The Assistant (Circle)
Ask about your own trends. It reads your check-ins and your notes and answers from those, not from a script. Replies are written by an external model provider, so your notes are sent there to produce one — your email never is.
Export & Delete (Circle)
Ask the assistant for your full history, or ask it to delete. Anything destructive asks for your password again.
Three things are deliberately absent from this list: peer support, sharing your trend with trusted people, and pattern-triggered nudges. Peer support means a conversation with a trained peer supporter — it is being built, not sold. None of the three are part of Circle today.
Ask what the research actually says
This is the knowledge that normally sits behind a waitlist or a textbook that costs more than a week's rent. It should not, and the research says the thing that actually stops people is not the cost — it is shame, and a waiting room has a door on it.
Every answer comes from a library of findings we have written down, each with its source and each one checkable. It cannot answer from anywhere else, which means it will sometimes tell you it does not know. And it will never tell you what you have — that is not what this is.
Answers are written by an external model provider from that library. There is no account here and your question is not stored. This is not the member assistant — that lives inside the app and can read your own check-ins — and it is not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not a crisis service.
Your identity and your reflections are stored separately.
Your email lives in one place only: your account. It is encrypted, and it is never written into a check-in.
Check-ins are filed under a random code instead, with no name, no email and nothing personal in them.
The only connection between the two is that random code — never your email. It is what lets us export your history, or delete everything, when you ask.
The detail, if you want it
- Email is stored in
business.accounts, encrypted (AES-256-GCM). - Check-ins live in
app.checkins, keyed only by an anonymous UUID. - No email, name or billing identifier appears in a check-in row.
- Access to your email for support is logged and operator-only.
- The Circle assistant sends your check-ins and notes to our model provider outside Canada to write a reply. Your email is never included.
Simple options for individuals & circles.
Everything needed for self-awareness and personal trajectory tracking.
- Unlimited daily 90-second check-ins
- A 14-day trendline, plus monthly cards
- Your own notes folder — write it, delete it
- 100% anonymous option (no email needed)
- The 9-8-8 crisis line on every page
Opens straight into the check-in. Create an account to keep your history across devices.
Circle is the tier with a human in it. A trained peer supporter — someone with their own years of recovery — reads what you write and writes back.
- Everything in Personal Reflection
- A trained peer supporter you can write to, answered in daytime hours
- The assistant — reads your check-ins and notes; replies are written by an external model provider
- Full historical data export
- Delete your check-ins by asking. Closing your account is yours to do on your account page.
The trial covers the assistant. Talking to a peer is the paid part, and it is paid because it is the part that costs somebody's time — there is one of them, and she cannot answer an unlimited number of people. No card is taken for the trial, and nothing is charged when it ends.
$49 is what attention costs. You are paying for somebody's time, not for a feature.
